How my personal chef service works for you and your family: From a menu designed according to your preferences, I purchase the groceries, prepare the food using my equipment in your home kitchen, and store entrées and meals in disposable packaging or glass containers. I prepare and package your meals in serving sizes to meet your needs and store them in your refrigerator and freezer. Once a week or every other week service may be your preference, or having a freezer filled with entrees may provide you flexibility at mealtime over the course of two to four weeks and may be your solution to your "What's for dinner?" dilemma!

Pricing for a few Sample Meal Plans

Following are samples of common meal plans that include the cost of groceries and disposable packaging. (I can also use your glass Pyrex or plastic Foodsaver containers.) Customized meals are prepared and refrigerated and frozen in disposable containers for your enjoyment. Organic and special diet meal services are computed using a chef service + groceries formula. I do the majority of my grocery shopping at Harris Teeter or Lowes foods because they have the freshest meats and produce together, but I will be happy to shop at multiple markets for your favorite foods if you request that and time and travel charges will apply.
Note: A "serving" consists of 6 ounces of protein, 1/2 cup of starch, and 1 cup vegetable, which is actually equal to 2 servings of meat, 2 servings of starch, and 2 servings of vegetable according to the guidelines set in the the USDA Food Pyramid. Larger portion sizes will be priced accordingly. A "serving" may also consist of 2 cups of a baked dish such as lasagne, or other casseroles with vegetable and protein included, and may be vegetarian. Examples of proteins for the basic meal plan are ground beef, beef roasts and many steaks, pork tenderloin and other pork products (ham, sausage, etc.), white and dark meat chicken, eggs and dairy, legumes such as black beans and lentils, and fish and some shellfish. Premium proteins such as lamb, veal, beef tenderloin and other premium beef steaks, lobster and crab, etc., will be priced accordingly.
1 to 2-person household mini service - $295
- 5 entrées with side dishes, 2 servings of each (10 dinners for 1 or 5 dinners for 2 or 10 meal servings)
1, 2, or 4-person household - $395
- 5 entrées with side dishes, 4 servings of each (10 dinners for 2 or 20 meal servings), or
- 6 entrées with no side dishes, 4 servings of each (12 dinners for 2 or 24 entrée servings)
3 or 6-person household - $465
- 5 entrées with side dishes, 6 servings of each (10 dinners for 3 or 30 meal servings), or
- 6 entrées with no side dishes, 6 servings of each (12 dinners for 3 or 36 meal entrée servings)
